The team at Crossley Architects were pleased to see Empyrean Lighting, a local Sunshine Coast company, being acknowledged yesterday for their success exporting LED luminaires globally.

We have enjoyed working closely with Empyrean Lighting on aquarium projects worldwide. Kevin and the team have assisted us with pushing the boundaries of lighting and biomimetics, and we look forward to seeing where the next projects will take us and Australian lighting technology in the future.

Best of Australia

The team at Crossley Architects are proud to be Australian and to live in this picturesque Country we call home, which is why we were excited to read one of our project's in our very own backyard had made the Sydney Morning Herald's "Best of Australia: 50 Unforgettable Adventures".

Crossley Architects, in association with Burling Brown Architects and Aquatic Environmental Systems, completed Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin, Australia, in 2008 where it has served as a tourist hub and educational facility to many for the past six years.

Resorts World Clinches Two Guinness World Records

"Resorts World Sentosa's S.E.A. Aquarium is now the official record holder of two Guinness World Records - it is the world's largest aquarium and has the world's largest acrylic panel in its Ocean Gallery.

The S.E.A. Aquarium in Singapore houses more than 80,000 animals of over 800 species in 42.8 million litres of water.

The world's largest acrylic panel in the Ocean Gallery at the aquarium measures 36 metres wide by 8.3 metres tall and weighs more than 250,000 kg. Its surface area is equivalent to two rows of three double-decker buses stacked on top of one another.

Marine Life Park Partners With Conservation International To Further Efforts In Regional Marine Conservation

"Conservation International (CI) and Resorts World Sentosa’s Marine Life Park announced a new partnership today to allow collaboration on important marine issues in Singapore. The five-year partnership, the first for CI in Singapore will focus on conservation; marine mammal veterinary medicine; public education; the support of regional projects through joint conservation events and fundraising efforts.

Den Blå Planet Aquarium

New Aquarium Makes A Splash

"With its 53 aquariums and seven million litres of salt and fresh water, Den Blå Planet, home to 540 different species of fish, marine animals, birds and even crocodiles, opened on Friday. As the largest aquarium in northern Europe, it is expected to attract 700,000 visitors a year, which would make it one of Denmark’s five most popular attractions.
