Yao Ming: Shark's Fin Soup

Confronting but true, this video published four years ago by WildAid and Shark Savers to raise awareness of the impact of the consumption of shark fin soup on marine biodiversity shouldn't be forgotten.

Research shows that some shark populations have declined by up to 98% in the last 15 years and an estimated 100 million sharks are killed every year with fins from up to 73 million used for shark fin soup, primarily to supply the market in Mainland China. Spreading awareness is vital to putting an end to this crisis.

Remember “when the buying stops, the killing can too”.
